i need to find out how long it would take, roughly, by plane, to get from Sydney to San Diego

Departs again from Los Angeles at 12:45
and arrives in San Diego at 13:50 so the total time of the journey would be 17h 30m at least and 22h 45m at most.

Welcome to the Military. Just remember, that's what they do - it's a no crap sorta deal. From the moment you step off of that plane - you're theirs. lol. There is a reason for everything that they do in bootcamp. Even "screaming" at you from the moment you step off of the plane. That scenario can be comparable to being dropped off in a war zone - from the second you land in a war zone, your attention needs to be focused on the orders being given and on the dire situation around you. If you're not focused, if you don't listen, your dead. There's a reason behind everything that they do. But just remember, they're preparing you for military life - when they say jump, you jump. It's for your own good and some day it will save your butt. But your drill instructors go home to a family every night - they're just doing their job. You're there to focus on the military, not on the cute girl.
