I am looking for my Aunt Margaret Vorhies in Calif.?

I am trying to find my Aunt ,my mother's step sister the last place she lived was West Covina Calif.Her Madian name was Hart, Her brothers name was Lyle Hart who is deceased.He lived in Arcadia.She may have remarried so wouldn't know her new name . Please help, my mother would really like to talk to her. She would be 66 right now. Thank you in advance.

This is an impossible search if you suspect she remarried. The only way to do it is to start at her last known address and last known full name and age, then track her from house to house watching for name changes.
The only way to do that is to buy time on a good search engine like Accuan People Finders or the mother of them all, Intellius. It'll cost you $40 or $50 depending on how fast you are with the keyboard.

Also, I am curious... did you spell that name right? I knew a family Voorhies in Southern California. They were connected with the Kellogg family (cereal fame) in creating Cal Poly Pomona.

In case she did not remarry, start with looking in phone book that would include West Covina. The phone books in LA County carry numbers and addresses for large areas and include many communities. Also, contact the LA County Registrar of Voters, in case she was registered. I have lived from 1969 till 3 yrs ago in much of the LA Basin, and so many things intertwine between the seperate communities that LA County is the best resource for most of these things. Also, if she did remarry, check marriage records using her old [married] name. All of us, pretty much, are winding thru government and other records [like utilities], even church/synogogue records.
