Hi, It is my opinion, that , first, have her ears checked. When dogs have ear mites, and/or infection, etc., it is very bothersome and irritating, to a dog's ears, which would be why he acts scared, he is really hurting. Take your puppy in, for puppy shots, and get his/her ears checked immediately. Also, bring in a fresh (approx. a teaspoon amount, in a sealed baggie) a FRESH stool sample! After the dog poops, take a baggie over your hand, grab a reasonable amount (about a quarter size or so, THE VET DOES NOT NEED ALL OF POOP, just FRESH and reasonable amount), anyway, then take your hand out , knot the baggie and have it checked.Other than health, you have to help your puppy adjust, and feel secure! Take care of your new friend!!!The best to you and yours....

A 2 month old is only 8 weeks, it should have just left it's mother this week. Your puppy is still a baby and will be scared of anything that is startling or scary. The best thing to do is to scoop it up when she is scared, hug her and reassure her. As time goes on and she is reassured when things are scaring her, she will become less and less scared and more curious of her environment.
When she is a little older and has completed her distemper shots then bring her to puppy kindergarten. She will get to play with other puppies and it will help her build confidence.
Lastly, do not let your "friend" that fights dogs anywhere near her. I know I could never call an animal abuser my friend, but the least you can do is protect your puppy and that is the right and honorable thing to do. We are to care for animals, not put them in danger for sport or profit. Maybe you can help your friend see that.

Your pup needs to have its confidence built up. Too many experiences of being scared will leave it with a poorer sense of being. Try to introduce it to some really gentle dogs. This will allow it to gain some good times behind it. When your pup learns that there is nothing to be afraid of, it will be happier all around. Do not coo and coddle over it when it acts afraid though, as this will make the behavior worse. You must not pet it while it whimpers or hides. Just ignore the fearful acts (don't punish the pup over it). If the other dog is mean to it or barks too much, try changing the surroundings.

Hello, This is pretty normal for some dogs at that age. I would be careful do take her out to much as being as she is only 2 months. You are looking at a 6 week shot and a 8 week shot. Her ammunity is not built up enough against canine disease and can pick this up on the ground on a nice walk.

Your dog doesn't have ear mites, it is not because it is young, and please don't confuse your dog by just giving it treats for being scared or even just nervous.
What you should do first is identify what situations are scaring the pup. Next you teach your dog how to sit or heel. By having the dog sit, you are creating a distraction.
Take the pup out for a walk. When someone is approaching, have the dog sit until the person passes. Once passed, reward the pup and continue.
Hope this helps!

Your puppy must have been stepped on or abused at some time and this will make him or her timid. It can take a long time to reassure your dog but as time goes on he will become brave. Good luck

Hi,
Take her to a local puppy socialising center. At them they give the dogs an oppurtunity to meet other people and dogs.

Don't make her go by anything she is afraid of. Get her close enough to see or hear it and then give her a food treat, tell her she's good and leave it at that. She's a young baby.

This is not typical GSD behavior.
You have a mixed breed (previous questions) with a poor temperment.
