i wouldnt mind i guess, so long he didnt say anything perverted, or come across too strong or overly confident. its nice to meet people, i guess sometimes, if the setting is a bit quiet, i am so conscious of other people listening or watching, and that would make me shy. if he is polite, and there isnt any pressure, might just make any womans day. :)

I don't know why ... but I never felt comfortable being approached by a stranger.
You know nothing about him ... his background and character ... I would never go further than superficial conversation, no matter how nice he seemed.
I prefer meeting people thru other people I know (who know them), or at a private event where everyone there was invited by someone we all know..
Another good way to meet people is to do something with a group that has a common interest. This way if U meet someone there, you know U at least have 1 thing in common!
I don't know where U live ... small town, or big city .... but there's an online site called MeetUp.com There are hundreds of groups everywhere, with 100s of different interests!!.
I happen to be an organizer of one of those groups in NYC. It's a lot of fun to get together with those people once or twice a month ... we usually have a very good time.
Different people come all the time ... while there are also a bunch of regulars.
I think doing something like that is an opportunity to meet many nice people and maybe you will find the person of your dreams, you never know?
But in the meantime U R having fun.

I feel flattered if a decent looking guy approaches me. If he's nice on top of it then it certainly isn't annoying.

no, that would simply be freaky. not that its an offense to you but the kind of people out there these days, it kinda makes women on alert mode. besides, i can already tell you will make women uncomfortable from the way you address your question.

no it's not annoying if he's not pushy and if he talks with me for a couple of minutes leaves me his email or AIM and we would chat and then go from there
