At Thanksgiving, my family was coming up to my kids and telling them how big they've gotten and just talking to them. My daughter, who is 15 months old, was growling at them when they would tell her how cute she is or that she looked like her daddy or anything they said. Then today we all met at my neighbor's house for some leftover turkey gumbo party thing, and she growled at all our neighbors. We now get that she's shy and unfriendly, but why growl? I know it's better than hitting them or something, but I would expect that before her growling like a dog. What's up with that?

my son does the same thing when hes irritated with people, being its around the holidays and stuff shes probably just overstimulated being around so many new people or so many people at the same time, toddlers are creatures of habit you know, switch up their routine at all and theyre bound to do some crazy things.

My daughter and her father play a growling dinosaur/?? game with each other and now she growls at everything. She's 17 months btw. I think it's just one of those things. She growls at inappropriate times, only says goodbye to strangers who walk away instead of family or friends, and won't say anything other than Mama to me but will speak in full sentences for my mom. I think it's just one of those things that babies do you know. They don't mean it as aggression or an expression of dislike. Hope that settles your worries. I really don't think she means it the way a dog would or anything.

You had him 2 days i could take him back or discover him a sparkling abode with out toddlers. This dogs in all probability did not have suitable socialization and that may not something particularly mounted. somebody pronounced perhaps your q5 month previous infant perhaps harm a fifteen month previous Dane no way i think of i could have situation hurting a fifteen month previous dane. the right reaction for a dogs who isn't gentle with a toddler is to in basic terms walk away long formerly any growling. i could say it somewhat is solid that this dogs has given you this warning it could have saved your infants life, now do the the final option difficulty and discover this dogs a sparkling abode. till you do shop the dane in yet another room thoroughly away out of your toddler.

Growling is just another one of the wonderful stages children go through. If you are trying to detour the growling, don't give her any positive reaction to it. Just explain to her the growling isn't nice. At 15 months, she should grow out of itin time. :) good luck.

My 8 month old growls at her sisters when she has had enough of them. Of course, she growls when she is content too. I guess some kids like to growl! I think it is cute!

If she were older, it would be a problem b/c kids shouldn't be rude, but she's still a baby, and this is probably just a stage.. It doesn't mean that you should allow it.. Just let her know that it's not nice everytime she does it, and eventually she'll grow out of it.. Good luck to you

Kids do the darnedest things..lol..Don't be alarmed, lots of kids do that. It's just an attention getter is all. Or you could just tie a bone around her neck and just let the dog deal with her..lol..sorry..just kidding..

my son likes to growl, bark, meow, roar, & make all kinds of animal sounds. He does this when he's pretending to be an animal.
