It is the only thing that feels true. When I said that I was a Christian I felt like I was living a lie and I do not want to say that I totally rule out the possibility of a god (Atheism). I have always been a big one for the middle ground. OK that is not exactly the middle ground but it works for me.

Because it's the only "right" thing for me. I have no idea what's true and what's not. I don't think it makes much sense to believe everything that other people say about what the "truth" is. I find it hard to believe that anyone knows the answer but there is always a chance that someone has it right. There's just no way for me to know that. It's always possible that the truth is something no human can begin to understand, making existing religions pointless.

I like your quote -- wisdom lurks there. As to the question: I realized by the time I was eight years old that the bible could not be reconciled with the scientific evidence, and since the science is obviously right (it works!), religion had to go. I have subsequently put this metaphysics on a sound logical foundation, and hope someday to publish a book describing how it all works.

I'm currently agnostic for the very simple reason that I can't believe in any particular Christian God, but I also don't have any reasons to deny one...and I honestly don't see any hope of every being sure. Blind faith isn't something I can easily stomach, and I typically associate it with unfounded beliefs, aka tradition, superstition, ignorance. Also, the fact that people can actually be so sure of their beliefs as to dedicate their entire lives to impressing them on other people...just bewilders me.

I'm agnostic because I don't believe humans have the capacity to prove God exists, but it's a possibility that he/she/it exists.

because there are too many hypocrites, pretending to be hardcore in their religion by words but then do otherwise in their actions.
