You must also keep in mind, that the churches are not particularly "buildings".... the structure of the churches are made up of people......

Yes. Christianity is not homogenous at all. Whenever someone says that so-and-so is a Christian, what they mean is that the subject is THEIR kind of Christian. When they talk about other people becoming Christian, they mean THEIR kind of Christian and not any of the others. It's the Exclusivity doctrine: It works against even sects of its own faith.

Why was there schism in the first place? Because of brotherly love? I think not. Usual explanation: mis-communications, hatred, stubborn pride. These are not godly attributes.

Many do. I've spoken with quite a few who have this belief. Everything but their particular denomination is tainted.

I would assume that since Christ said there would be many claiming to speak in his name, but are not, that even Christ believed that.
