Well you're not really converting if you were already a Christian. Just choose whichever denomination you fell most comfortable with. None of them are perfect. Maybe you should tryout a few different ones to see what you might like.

Setting aside any Bible issues, do all their followers believe in obeying the law, even the inconvenient ones, such as speed limits when late for work?
Do they believe in paying taxes, even though there are many ways they could avoid them, as most religions do?
Do they believe in keeping their word, such as to the IRS that they will not promote politics in the church, and they actually mean it?
Do they teach their youth that waiting until marriage is preferable to using protection, and for the most part, the youths actually believe it?
Are their youths taught side by side with the adults, the Bible as a whole, and not just Bible stories? The very young may not understand what they are being taught, but by the time you reach the age of understanding, they have a good basic knowledge of the scriptures.
Do the churches never get so large that the individual gets lost in the crowd?
Do they teach everyone the same, so it is easy to start a new congregation, with a complete set of elders?
Does everyone know everyone, whether in their church or in their city, in the same religion? When Katrina happened, did every member of the religion, living in New Orleans, get rescued?
Is the church small and designed to compliment a neighborhood, and not overwhelm it, with a lot of expensive decorative features?
If you want just one simple question, ask them:
WHAT DAY DO THEY OBSERVE THE MEMORIAL ON?
If they, and/or any of their members, follow Christ, than they will say without pause, Niacin 14, at sun set on the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox. The Memorial of the Last Supper, on the day Christ said to observe it.
If they say a day in May, walk away.
Something of interest. Whereas Christians say convert, in a Muslim brochure to promote the house to house work, they use the term "revert", not convert.

You don't convert to a denomination. The denomination should help you grow in your faith though. Christianity is about a relationship with Jesus Christ. Find a Bible believing church such as Assemblies of God, Full Gospel, Community Bible church. There are many denominations that teach the same stuff with different styles. Stay away from any that don't believe Jesus to be the son of God, or that add stuff to the Bible like the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses.

Well if you want to join The Christian Church. As in the original church founded directly by Jesus, I would suggest the Catholic church. If you do some research you will find out that much of the rumors of the catholic church aren't true. All the denominations are groups that protested the catholic church and broke off and made their own way of following Christ.

Dear,
In christianity, there is no denominations.Jesus in the prayer that i call the Lords Prayer in John 17:21 prayed for unity amongst believers. So that they maybe as in him.
So,denominations are for religions, not for Christianity.Just find church where you will feel the presense of God,as in where you will feel at home in,and be a menber of that church,
However, you have to understand first the doctrine and beliefs of that church,if there is anything you doubt about them, ask,or refer it to the bible

What you believe is yours.
I am sure you have been asked to attend church with someone. Go. It is the Christians you are interacting with that will provide you with information you need.
In fact, go with Christians from different denominations. Someplace you will find roots.
What you believe is yours. And following Christ is easier with follow Christians than alone.

easily, not theoretically, no you may or ever has "switched over" to Christianity. The one hundred twenty at Pentecost gained the baptism of the Holy Ghost and grew to develop into, with the help of an act of God, the first "converts." They were 'switched over' with the help of an experience with God, not with the help of transforming into a member of something. They were contained in the better Room with the help of command. After following Jesus Christ for 3 years they were nonetheless, even the 12, in simple terms people justified with the help of religion; not as yet full of the spirit or switched over. Scripture states, without question, that absolutely God promises to His church those who're being kept. comprehend-how the above, the following is your answer: when you're stated as of God; you'll, from this element, in simple terms be presented about a Christian fellowship which rests contained in the total anointing of the Holy Ghost. There you'll discover discernment to maximum perfect your comprehend-how and renounce your existence to His. once you acquire the spirit of Christ, he will handbook you into all reality. without the above, or a assembly with a real God-despatched Christian, you may stroll the phone e book or stab your finger to this variety of solutions. in preserving with threat God will practice mercy.

You obviously believe in a higher power? I do, and can say confidently that if you genuinely ask God into your heart, through that experience you will get your answer. it is a different experience than any other, people can tell and preach to you for years yet unless you "experience" Jesus yrself, its all just talk. Goodluck on your journey, ill keep you in my prayers ;)
