Muslims believe that Ibrahim (Prophet Abraham) wanted to have a son but he was too old. And then Ibrahim invoked, he promised that he would sacrifice his most liked thing for God (Arabic:Allah) if he could have a son. Then he evangeled that he will had a son, Ismail (Ishmael) and Ibrahim sacrifices a camel for Allah. But there was an examination for Ibrahim after several years. Allah revealed in a dream to Ibrahim that he should sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael). As they went, the devil attempted to persuade Ibrahim to disobey Allah and not to sacrifice his beloved son. But Ibrahim stayed true to Allah, and drove the devil away. As Ibrahim prepared to sacrifice his son, Allah stopped him and gave him a sheep to sacrifice instead. This is the story behind Eid ul-Adha

If your faith is so strong, why don't you follow the example of prophet Abraham, rather than killing millions of innocent animals for a feast, try to see if God stops you as well from killing your own blood !

I am a muslim and I am proud to be a muslim.
Well untill and unless you will not know the truth you do not have a right to say anything wrong.

Ibrahim Alassalam,(peace be upon him) is not like us a normal human he is very near to Allah and Allah loves him.
Allah ordered him to sacrifies his beloved thing in the name of Allah. He is such a great person Allah that ordered him . He loves his son so much and he decide to sacrifies his son in the name of Allah. His son ask to tie a bandage on both of them eyes so his hands won't get shake. When he is about to sacrifie his son.On finding him obedient and prepared to act on His command, Allah submitted a sheep for him to slaughter instead of his beloved son.Allah is testing him only

Allah made the whole world the entire universe and in the whole world human are on the top. Allah made every thing for human and human for workship Allah.

Allah like qurbani .Allah won't order us sacrifies our childen. Allah ask for sacrifiec a animal which is halal, Their are some animals only we can halal them and can eat them. Not like others who can eat anything dog, pig anything

Our faith is strong coz Allah ask us to sacrifies a goat , cow, sheep, camel etc and we are doing so.

Well who are you do you have faith on your relegion???

I am not sure what you are saying; are you suggesting that we kill our children instead of innocent sheep?
There are some points here:
* We are not prophets
* Allah did not order us to kill our own children in sacrifice so that he would stop us and offer something else
* The very fact of a sheep being presented to replece Prophet Ismaeil denotes that sheep is halal to eat (what about the last dinner of Jesus when he ate fish? what about turkey on Thanksgiving?)
* It is stated in the Quran that the meat of sheep, cattle, birds and fish is halal to eat. Allah vreated them for several reasons among which to be eaten.
* The haram meat is that of pigs (pork) whci modern science and medicine have proved not good for human health

Peace

Actually this verse is one of the main reason that I am an atheist, but this is really not a good way to show your concern for animals (asking them to sacrifice their children) and do you know that USA consumes more meat than all Islamic nations and Muslims and more than china.

its not only muslims that sacrifice animals to god a lot of other religions do as well... and its not suppose to be meant as somethin disrespectful to the animal. when we do slaughter the animal, your suppose to take a lot of steps like make sure the animal is comf, the knife is clean and no other animals are around to see it get slaughtered.. jus cuz u dont eat meat tha doesnt mean we wont either and if u do u call the american way of killing animal civilazed? shet they shoot em in the head with a shotgun how fckin not cool is that?
