I think that getting your belly button is more bearable, maybe just because its something you "want" to do and you are scared when you are getting a needle in your mouth so i think that getting poked with a needle in my mouth is way worse, plus you get a reward after you get your belybutton pierced, you have a belly ring and you just have a sore mouth after getting a filling........oh and i think peircings are f'in hot, i have 7...hell yeah

I'd prefer to slide down a 50 foot razor blade and land in a pool of iodine.
Not a choice? Try a kidney stone, actually try upwards of 15 of the little bastards. Get this for pain, having a dime sized kidney stone lodged in your ureter for eight weeks. Or gout in both feet/legs. Or compression fractures in the spine. Or a bone marrow biopsy from the sternum, or a spinal tap, or a ruptured kidney. How about a ruptured testicle? Here's a good one, having your nipple bitten off in a fistfight by a 6'5", 250+ pound nutbar who is strung out on pcp. Maybe waking up during shoulder reconstruction or knee surgery? Cortisone injections into the palms of your hands via the wrists? Dislocated hip, ankle, shoulder, elbow, or even your thumb? How about a rusty pair of barber scissors through your foot. Maybe a fractured pelvis or a broken jaw or even rheumatoid arthritis and bulging spinal discs should be considered. How about burning sulphur in the eyeball and the subsequent freezing to perform the surgery. How about being beaten by a parent with a belt so many times that the skin splits and you have bloody, purple welts from your mid back to your knees, front and back?
Well, I've had them all and more. So I suggest if you need to ask then you're too gutless to have either. Think twice before you ask such stupid questions and for the record, dental injections are nothing. So skip the piercing and get your teeth fixed.
Then sit down and start communicating with your parents.

I would say that neither one of these equal "umbarable pain". Discomfort, yes and it's only for a minute. With the dentist, you can get "gas" and you'll never know you had an injection. Piercing goes so quickly, it's over with before you actuatlly feel much of anything. There are more things I can think of and have experienced that I would put in the "unbarable" category. Godloveya.

I've never had my navel pierced and never will. As for the other two, having a filling would be less painful.

Never have any piercing before. If adequate local analgesic given to the piercing area prior to procedure - the pain may not be felt. Make sure the piercing procedure is done in aseptic technique. You won't want to get secondary infection.
