No. That's the last place Jesus would be (figuratively speaking). The churches have nothing of value to offer those who wish to learn the truth. If you doubt my words, how many churches will be holding Christmas celebrations next month? Why don't church leaders tell their members that Christmas is a pagan holiday that true Christians avoid? It is because they rake in a lot of money during the Christmas season. A church in Garden Grove California makes huge profits every year from a Christmas pageant that people pay lots of money to see. So it doesn't matter how many people are gathered in the name of Christ in the churches; Christ will not be there.

That verse is always taken out of context. What the verse is actually talking about is not worship or church, it is talking about resolving a conflict between two church members. If you read the verses just above that one Matt 18:15-20 it is talking about a man who tresspasses (offends) another man and how if the offender will not apologize or acknowledge his wrong you take it before one or two other members of the church. If he still won't admit his wrong take it before the church. and the verse is basically saying that if there are two or three people gathered to reach a common goal within God's will and in His name He will be there to help sort it out.

no, you don't have to be in church to worship God. Church is more for hearing the word of God and getting an interpretation from a man or woman of God who has studied the Bible. You can worship and praise at any time with anyone and he will be there. I believe he's always with you but i think He wants us to share in worship with others.

The Bible says not to forsake the assembling of yourselves together. It also says to take the Lord's Supper on the first day of the week. I believe that you would want to be in a church on Sunday if you are truly a Christian. You don't have to be in a church building to worship though. It could be in someone's home, etc.

Hi,

It does not mean you have to be in a church to worship. It means that any two gathering in His name are themselves a church attended by Him.
Jesus had no church yet His Word reached many ears and his touch healed many lives.

Be healed. Believe.

No you do not have to be in a church to worship God. You can worship God anywhere. But the Word of God does say that we are not suppose to forsake to assemble ourselves together with fellow believers. But in no wise is the church the only place you can worship. May God Bless

No you do not have to be in a church to gather in his name. You just need more then one person.

But I believe that god is always with us no matter how many people are there.

I think what you are referring to is Matt 18.. When two or three are gathered I will be in the midst.. Yes, Jesus said it, it must be true.. No, you don't have to be in church to do this you can have a couple of prayer partners to pray with.. That's all you need... God bless you...

God is everywhere and hears you no matter where you are at. You do not have to be in church to worship God. What the abbreviated verse means that you are referring to is that if two people are sitting in a living room and begin to pray and worship God, he will be there and listen to them. You don't have to be in a formal setting to pray and worship the Lord. Gods Blessing in your conversion.
