ive been seeing this guy for about a year now. we hang out all the time, he takes me to dinner, movies etc etc, things that boyfriends and girlfriends do. we just started to go intimate last month. i asked him about 5 months ago why we are not official and he said he was not ready. so what i dont understand is why wont he commit to me if its obvious to me he really does like me? any answer besides hes probobly seeing someone else please!

He wants to keep his options open... not be tied down. You need to stand up for yourself and tell him its all or nothing. Dont let him run the relationship.... it is supposed to be 50/50. Tell him that you need to be commited to him. If he really cares about you he will comply!

He can't commit to you or a relationship. If it is important to you that he say he's your boyfriend, you need to tell him how important it is to you - maybe even an ultimatum. Since he doesn't want to commit and you've been sticking around letting him do that, he hasn't needed to. I would worry that he's not serious enough about you that he's just keeping you around, commitment-free, until something better gets along. This is bad news if you're thinking you want to get serious with this guy - he definitely doesn't seem like long-term relationship material at all.
