All Christians are converted from atheism(we are all born atheists).
All I can say is that I have seen the former happen a countless number of times including myself and every time I see the latter happen the person who claims that they were an atheist had no understand of the reasons that they were an atheist. I think they consider an atheist to be someone who didn't go to church or didn't pay god any mind...I have never heard of an atheist who could correctly explain both sides of the cosmological and ontological arguments for the existence of a god who converted to Christianity. However, I have seen many many people who deconverted to atheism who know a great deal about why they were a Christian and have vast knowledge of Christianity.

I don't think anyone converts anyone else, it's a choice.
An athiest beleives there is no God, and a Christian beleives that Jesus is the path to God.
If any change in viewpoint is made by one or the other side of the coin, it is the persons will, and ability to see that their own perspective may have a flaw, that does the conversion, their own self-reflection, not the person who's ego thinks he or she is "doing" the converting.
Most times people will not convert, but open their eyes to another perspective and relize that it is as valid as their own. That's the best we can hope for is a world where everyone beleives what they feel works for them and respects others ability to choose for themselves and just leaves people alone to live their lives.
In my opinion, no beleif system is without flaw. In my opinion trying to convert others is violent, but helping others to understand where you are coming from is sharing.
What do you think?
I think we should all Live and let live!

It's harder for an atheist to convert a Christian...in fact I'd go so far as to say it couldn't be done if the Christian was a true born again believer, and not just a church goer.

My guess is that it would be harder for an atheist to convert a Christian.

it is impossible for either to occur. God is the only one that can convert someone to Christianity. As for atheism, how can one get converted?

I think there is a lot more pressure on Christians (from family and church) to remain in the fold.
Atheists get no pressure in the real world ... just here on Y!A : P

it is generally harder to convert an atheist to any religion , as atheism has no restrictions unlike religion which has many restrictions , so i would vote that it is harder to convert and atheist to christianity..

I think it would be harder for an aethiest to convert to Christianity. Since he doesn't believe in One God, converting to believe in 3 in 1 I think would be too difficult.

I believe it depends upon the persons involved and how well they know their scriptures and how they live. Otherwise, I don't think it's easy converting either one to the other side.
