I don't quite understand . You've been seeing this guy for a year and yet he's not your boyfriend? What is he then? If he's only a friend, then yes, get him a Christmas present but don't spend a lot of money on it. And don't feel bad if he doesn't get you one. It's always better to give than receive. But he might feel bad that he didn't get you one. Some times guys don't think of gifts like girls do, so you can't expect a lot from him being he forgot your birthday.

long distance relationships are continuously going to be complicated, that's why this is much greater important to voice any concerns or problems you have. it somewhat is obviously a situation for you, and that i'm able to understand why it may be. i think of this is particularly unfair on his area. you have been mutually a year - you have offered him presents - this is not shallow or materialistic to choose a minimum of one difficulty which you recognize got here from him. If he's able to have adequate money you tickets, then he's able to get you a present day on your 1yr anniversary. there is obviously a miscommunication right here - he perhaps would not think of you pick or anticipate presents - perhaps he thinks the tickets are adequate - perhaps he has greater financial project than he's particularly letting on. yet i don't think of this difficulty is going to bypass away and in case you hold ignoring it, the greater green with envy you are going to wind up. you may choose to be honest and tell him the way you experience. that doesn't propose accusing him or making your self seem ungrateful or superficial - in basic terms casually point out how outstanding it may be just to have even a sprint something from him on particular events, to remind you of him once you at the instant are not mutually.

I think out of the kindness of your heart that you shoul get him something.I would not get something that costs alot but a little something to show him that you care.Alot of guys just really do not think about these little things but that does not mean they do not care.Besides all that, the joy comes in giving and not in receiving so don't be hurt by not receiving anything.Just be thankful that you are able to give.

You should never give a gift with the expectation of getting one in return...give it freely, and out of thoughtfulness
