So i need some skills please help. 2 month or younger. how to know if it is pure german shepherd or not. I have seen pictures. But i cant tell pure or hybrid. I have a puppy i thought it is german shepherd but people here (@ yahoo answers) mostly say it is not a pure bred GSD. So please tell me, any link for guidance. Or tips or tricks to recognise the breed. Some people say if i lift puppy from ears; If it crys, it means it is not a pure bred. and if not cry. It means it is pure. but . Your friends are a bunch of old wives..that is just crazy..
However, I saw your puppy pics, and it does appear to be a German Shepherd puppy. Just love the one you have, and when it is well trained, and a happy member of your family, then you can adopt another, if it turns out that your current puppy is not purebred.. I have seen MANY German Shepherd puppies, and yours sure does appear to be one..
If the one you adopt does not have registration papers, there is no real way to tell, other then just being so familiar with the breed that you recognise it..
that is what vets do..they just see so many, that they can give a pretty good guess as to what breeds the dogs are..Just as we who have studied dogs all our lives can do..

They answer to your question is: Vets usually don't 'check the breed' without a series of expensive genetic tests. That what reputable breeders and AKC papers are for.
Honey, no dog is technically a pure bred, and you have a lot more issues than this question lets on. You have several questions about killing your dog. You repeat that Islam is stupid and that Muslims are brain washed. You have numerous questions concerned with your dog's breed. You probably should not even own a dog as you seem mentally unstable or at least incredibly immature.
Pet stores are not how one goes about "adopting" a dog. They are unethical dens of slime. They buy from puppy mills, and buy poor quality dogs at that. No one who knows anything about dogs would even consider buying a pet from one.
Next, you need to demand papers. No reputable breeder breed an unpapered dog. So, what are you left with? Unethical and irresponsible breeders.
I'm guessing you aren't the type to care about the responsibilities of a breeder, but you should at least care about the health and well being of your dog. And buying from an unethical breeder or a pet shop means that you don't care. That you only care about thinngs that don't matter.

a) do NOT lift your puppy up by his ears
b) do NOT buy a puppy from a pet shoppe OR without papers if what you want is a purebred.
c) only REAL breeders who register their litters and provide health guarantees and contracts along with papers can legitimately vouch for their puppies
Why does it have to be purebred? Do you plan to show the animal?
I'll leave it to the legitimate breeders to help you, but you are DEFINATELY not going to get a quality animal from a pet shoppe, of that you can be sure.
*UPDATE*
You just like pure things? That's your justification? Do you intend to alter (spay/neuter) the animal once it is of age? Will that make it no longer 'pure'? What happens if the dog gets sick, looses a limb, has a dew claw? Does that make it impure and therefore unqualified to be your pet? What will you do then? Deposit the animal at the shelter?
Dogs require UNCONDITIONAL love and loyalty, and in return they offer the same. I'm not sure you're up to the task.

I hope you were kidding about the ear thing but in case your weren't don't listen to such stupidity. The only way to be positive is to have very expensive blood work done. If you wanted a pedigreed pup you should have gone to a breeder that shows their dogs. They generally breed to improve the quality of the breed and have good healthy pet quality pups for sale. Pet stores buy from puppy mills and they are not the conscientious about record keeping as well as everything else that goes into quality breeding. My advice to you is to be happy you have a healthy pet (if you do) and call it good. Read a lot of books on caring for and training your puppy. Talk to knowledgeable people. Taking good care of you baby is a lot more complicated than it seems, if you do it right. A reputable vet clinic is a good place to start.

You don't understand enough about dogs to own one.
Aren't you the same clown that asked if you should kill your 8 week old puppy because it bit you? Have the rabies showed up yet?
You are a fricking idiot!

THE PICKING THE PUP UP BY THE EARS TRICK DOES NOT WORK_IT'S NOT TRUE! DO NOT DO THIS HOW WOULD U LIKE TO BE PICKED UP BY YOUR EARS?????????
Go to a pet shop with a great reputation-if they say that their pups are Pure GSD, then they probably are. There isn't really any way to tell if it's PB or not. Just by looks sometimes u cant even tell by looks.

If you don't have papers, you won't be able to prove it's purebred, unless you get a DNA test (costly). Usually, people can tell just by looking. Go to the AKC website, they should have lots of information about purebreds.

VETS are NOTORIOUS for being TERRIBLE at GUESSING breeds OR MUTT/MONGRELS!!
No better than any other "boob-in-the-street"!
The *********ONLY**********way(ya nitwit) to get a REAL/PURE BRED/REGISTERED animal is to buy DIRECT from a REPUTABLE BREEDER!!!
