Absolutely. People really see the love of Jesus in you when you are giving to the poor. Actions speak louder than words.

I'll give what I am able to help the poor. Like I said before, don't forget the poor in spirit and mind. Monetarily poor is one thing, but there are far more people with other needs as well. We should not forget those people either. God Bless.

I will donate to what I always donate to, cancer charities.
Cancer being something that your god must have put on earth to cause suffering if you believe he is all powerful.
I do this out of respect for relatives that have died of cancer, not through some false religious belief that I should help others.
And I do this all year round, not just as Xmas.
Unlike many supposed good, god fearing, Christians, who donate once a year and then pronounce how much better they are than Atheists like me because they did so.

I always do. And the Salvation Army still says "Merry Christmas" when you put something in their kettle. That is nice. Our Church has a special offering on Epiphany. We have a manager at the front of the Church and when we go up for Communion we put new baby clothes in it that will be give to poor women. We do a lot of things at my church for the poor every week, like collecting food for the food bank, and household items for the homeless who are getting a place, etc. When there were a lot of homeless women and children we opened our church hall to them as a place to sleep and gave them a meal.

my family has done this for the past few years. we are fortunate enuf to get most of the things we want with in reason. so we decided to adopt a family instead of exchanging gifts among the adults. we save it all for the kids

You should not only donate when it comes to Christmas time.
If you can donate everyday why don't you do it everyday? Share what is yours while you still can. Because there's no reason to postpone doing good things.

Yes I do because I have more than I need.
I usually give to the Salvation Army as they distribute to the needy.
