I don't like getting side hugs from my girlfriend, it makes me feel like I'm some aquaintence. Am I wrong to think so?

Not as long as you get a really good hug too. Many are not into real big hugs in public so they do a side kinda thing when out in public and keep the more romantic ones for private.

I don't think it is weird or wrong to recieve side hugs. I would begin to wonder if those are the only hugs you recieve though. But if it is just once and a while I see it as normal and ok.

To be truthful, i do not care if he has a lady pal, and that i imagine he may like you. yeh kinda, just tell your girlfriend that you dont really like it. my bf and i give each other side hugs all the time, sometimes its just eisier, and plus if your with your friends sometimes you dont want to look full on so you dont give proper hugs because you look to "lovey dovey", just talk to her about it, im sure she wont mind.

I would only do that to hubby if one or both of us have something in our hands/arms. I agree with you, it's awfully impersonal feeling.
