I don't like her at all, but that is purely my opinion. I just have a bad feeling about her is all.

Jesus once told someone who was rich, like Joyce Meyers is, that he would be following Him when he sold all he had and gave the money to the poor. So when you see Joyce Meyer give up all her material wealth, which she made by selling the Gospel (supposedly the Gospel, anyway - she lies a lot) and the Gospel is to be given FREELY to all, THEN maybe she's a Christian. But for now, she's showing she's just a worshipper of money, she won't part with her money and she goes against Christ's teaching and commandments.
Christ also said "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to get into heaven." I'm sure that applies to rich women, too.
And I am a born-again Christian, saying all this.

I went to high school with her niece, and I grew up right by her mansion. Trust me, I have never heard anything good about her. First of all, her house is ridiculously huge, and it sits right on a busy road so everyone can see it. There aren't even any other big houses nearby. Whenever I would talk to her niece about her, she would say some pretty horrible things. Apparently she would show up to family gatherings and insult the rest of her family (who happen to be really nice people) because they were "beneath" her. And that's how she acts towards her own family! She is definitely very materialistic. Don't buy anything she says. She is super hypocritical.

She is real. I have come to her service once, and I must admit I'm blessed by what I hear from her testimony.
All I can see is how God can use and transformed a broken girl with abusive background, emotionally broken, depressed, etc. to become a successfull confident woman who helping more and more woman (who have same problem) to overcome the battle in their mind.
She just using the media and television as a tool to reach out to more people that she can't minister one by one. If she gets rich by what she do, why not? Oprah winfrey also get's rich by her television show.
What this women do is giving a life example of there is nothing impossible to achieve great things in life, if they let God work in their life, to heal their past and make it turn for the good.

Joyce Meyers materialistic? She gives so much of herself to the Lord and all the material things she has is what is given back to her for all her good deeds. We are all given back more than we can possibly do thru the Lord for others. She is the real thing...If you have doubts, read her books. She is a wonderful author.

Are you kidding? The bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. We will know a person by their fruit of their lips. In the last days many will be entertained by people for their itching ears. The bible says many will follow their pernicious ways. Surely you can believe when a man or woman who calls themselves a pastor, preacher or whatever is accepted by the world. They are definitely not preaching Jesus and come out of your sin. Their messages are fleshly, so the world hears them. That is why we have stadium size churches. The gospel that the apostles taught isn't popular and surely isn't entertaining. People such as Mrs Meyers are self help teachers, seminar instructors, pyscologists and pyschotherapists. Definitely not preachers of the gospel. God did not call such, but He said I called man to preach the kingdom of heaven. That is to teach, instruct, reprove, rebuke and exhort with all longsuffering and Doctrine. (PLS Read 2Tim chap.3 and 4) We are living in the days of the approaching of the antichrist and he will use whomever allows themselves to be used. The doctrine of these is more money less Lord. People such as Mrs. Meyers are teaching folks to get rich in wealth and not rich in the Spirit. You can't teach man how to be good with the 7 steps to this or the 12 steps to that and so on. As lonnnnnnnnng as we are in this body we aren't ever going be good. That is why we need more Jesus, because the more of Him. The less God sees of us. Covering us in His Blood. I'm preaching this while I'm typing it. Forgive me but I feel a strong need to compell people, get more of Jesus and not folks nonsense or theories. I'm not saying be poor, but don't let these shyters tell you because you don't have everything big. You don't have a relationship with God. My relationship, your relationship is not predicated on your financial status. It was His Blood His Grace which his unmerited favor. It was nothing I done or you done. I wish all them Leaders such as Mrs Meyers repent and rededicate their lives to God again. Materialistic yes.

She has great wisdom. God doesn't say he wants us to be poor, actually the opposite. She may like her things, but so do I. The question is would she give it all up if God asked her to, because it is all Gods anyway. I believe she would. I have met her personally. If anything about her is phoney God will deal with that. God can still use her to get His message across.

I like to hear her talk. She has had many hardships and has overcome so much to be where she is now. What has being materialistic got to do with her being real or fake? She is human, and what woman doesn't like to dress nice and look good, and she does. I also like the way she tells it like it is. She has a good sense of humor and I think she truly wants to spread the Word of God to everyone.

Really....I guess I could google this name or search on wikipedia but what on God's name are you talking about? Either you were born way before my time, like early 70s, or you're a millennium baby, meaning 2000s and beyond. I'm guessing the latter.

Well she teaches practical everyday things, but she's a charismatic, and calls herself a preacher, so doctrinally she's screwy....I think I would be fine with her if she only gave ladies conferences, and stopped with this nonsense about being baptized in the Holy Spirit. We are Baptized into the Holy Spirit at the time of our Salvation....and it's not that we need to pray to get more of God....we get ALL of Him at salvation; it's that we need to learn to GIVE all of ourselves to Him, THEN He becomes more and more evident in our life.
