at the second coming

I'm familiar with the rapture theory and the tribulation.. I believe the tribulation to be the final test of our hearts, just as it has been since Christ ascended into heaven.. I've talked to people that insist that the church will be removed from the earth before the tribulation.. But l have found no biblical evidence to that.. This rapture theory is just that a theory.. When Jesus comes back the bible says that "the sky will unfold like a scroll", " He'll come with a shout","like a trumpet", "every eye shall see and every knee shall bow", "every tongue shall confess", "the wicked will be slain with his brightness","And the dead in Christ shall rise first and we shall be caught up in the air to meet him"... This is, not only a very visible return but a one time deal as well.. "The wicked will be slain by his brightness".. After the return of Jesus the righteous will reign in heaven for a thousand years.. When the new Jerusalem lands on the mount of olives after a thousand years the wicked will be raised up and judged.. Then the wicked will be cast into the lake of fire along with the devil to be burned up with an unquenchable fire.. After this day all sin is once and for all removed from the earth.. There is no second chance, or a seven year period to change your mind...

The eschatological term “rapture” is a relatively new term derived from the Latin rapere which was used to translate the Greek harpazein in 1 Thessalonians 4: 17. “Harpazein” means "caught up" or “snatched away” and Paul used the word to describe what will happen to Christians – both living and dead – when Christ returns. The apostle says that saints who are alive at the coming of the Lord “will be suddenly caught up” (harpezein) together with saints who have previously died and together they will join the Lord in the air.

"Pre-Trib,"Mid-Trib" and "Post-trib" are terms associated with Dispensational Premillenialism. I do not subscribe to Dispensationalism (first developed by Darby in the early 19th century). I beleive Ammillennialism has fewer problems in accounting for ALL the biblical data on end times.

According to the amillennial scheme, Satan was bound during Jesus' earthly ministry (Mt. 12:29; Lk. 10:18, 19), limiting the devil’s activities so that he can no longer deceive the nations (Rev. 20: 1 - 3). This is why the gospel could now be preached throughout the world with assurance of success, especially where the elect are concerned (cf. Matt. 12: 29; Lk. 10: 18, 19). Satan is no longer able to deceive them. The Kingdom of God inaugurated by Jesus is now a present reality (although awaiting consummation at the end of the age) and the risen and exalted Christ is now ruling His people by His Word and Spirit (Lk. 17:20, 21). Moreover, the Kingdom of God is redemptive and spiritual in character – it is neither political nor physical (Jn. 18:36). The “millennium” and the "first resurrection" in Rev. 20:4 - 6 describes the present reign of the souls of deceased believers with Christ in heaven. The millennium is not a literal thousand-year period; rather, it is the period between the first coming of Christ and His second coming – a period that coincides with the Church Age. Although amillennialists believe that the Kingdom of God is a present reality, they do look forward to a future consummation of that kingdom when Christ returns and brings this age to a close. In other words, the kingdom is both “now” (Mk. 9:1, Rom. 14:17, 1 Cor. 4:19, Col 1:13) and “not yet” (2 Cor 6:9, Gal 5:21, Eph. 5:5, 2 Tim. 4:18)
During the Church Age, there will be a progressive maturation of the forces of good and evil (Mt. 13:24-30, 37-43, 47-50); but the Gospel will be preached to all the nations of the earth. Prior to Christ’s return, there shall come a great apostasy (2 Thess. Rev. 20:7, 8); Satan will be loosed for a “little season” (Rev. 20: 7); and the world at large, and especially the Christians, will experience a time of great distress called the “Great Tribulation” (Matt. 24: 29). Most amillenialists believe that the Great Apostasy will be led by the Antichrist or “man of lawlessness” foretold in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3 – 4.
The Great Tribulation will climax and the age will come to an abrupt end at the sudden return of Christ in power and glory. The “rapture” will occur at the same time Christ returns. All the dead will be resurrected – the righteous and unrighteous together (Jn. 5:25-30; Acts 24:15); hence, there will be only one resurrection. The "first resurrection" mentioned in Revelation 20 is simply a description of the Christian’s union with Christ (hence, participation in His resurrection) and the passing of the soul into God's presence at the time of bodily death.
The Final Judgment will immediately follow the general resurrection. The righteous shall enter into their reward in the New Heavens and the New Earth (Is. 65: 17, 66: 22, Rev. 21: 1), while the wicked will go away into eternal condemnation, the “second death” (Rev. 20:14).
This may come as a surprise to many American Christians, but amillennial eschatology is held by probably two-thirds of the Christian world. It was embraced very early by the Eastern (Orthodox) Church (under Origen's influence), and later in the fifth century by the Western (Roman Catholic) Church, largely because of the work of Augustine. It is the view held by the Reformers, and is written into both the Augsburg (Lutheran) and Westminster Confessions (Reformed). In modern times, some of the able scholars, authors and theologians who are amillennialist in their eschatology include such names as Louis Berkhof, Geerhardus Vos, J.I. Packer, George Murray, William Hendriksen, Gleason Archer, Abraham Kuyper, O.T. Allis, G. C. Berkouwer, Anthony Hoekema, Herman Hoeksema, R.C.H. Lenski, Jay Adams, A. Pieters, F.E. Hamilton, W. Rutgers, W. Cox.

Good question. Nobody knows except for God. I believe Jesus is coming for us very soon. Just look at the threat of the Russia-Arab war that is coming up in the near future. Russia has an arms deal with Iran who is working on nuclear bombs to try and destroy Israel. In the book of Ezekiel, Iran, Russia, Turkey, Ethiopia, Greece will all attack Israel and God will step in to defend his Country Supernaturaly with a huge earthquake that kill Israel's enemy's. God said the whole world will tremble at his presence. Israel after God's intervention will be a country not to muck around with. I believe that will probably kick start the 7 year peace covernat with Israel and start the tribulation. It may be a few days, months, years before the tribulation will start after the Russian-Arab invasion. The although invisible the anti-christ will come on the scene. He will show his power during the tribulation. So I believe the rapture will either happen before the tribulation or half way. Jesus said that during that time, two people will be in the field grinding mill, one taken and the other left, two people will be in bed one taken and the other left. To me that is the rapture. God said we are not appointed to wrath. Remember in 1st Thessalonians Ch 4v13-18 where it says "Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who have fallen asleep, or grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own words, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from Heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up in the air to meet the Lord and remain with him forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words" The lawless one will be reveiled after the church is gone. The restrainer(Holy SPIRIT) is the one that is holding back the antichrist. After we are raptured the restrainer will be gone. Therefore you do no have to worry about the tribulation, as we will not even be here for it. Jesus is coming for us very, very soon. And then we will come back with him to the earth when he judges the Nations. The wedding feast of the lamb will take place in Heaven with his saints while the terrible tribulation is going on on the earth. So I tend to look at sometime before the tribulation which could be during the Russian-Arab war or during the middle, just as the antichrist is coming to power. But we are not appointed to Gods wrath, which will be poured out during the second half of the tribulation period. God bless.

After trib, before wrath... I think this because, as we see in Thess 4 anf 1 Cor 15, the dead rise first and then those who are living come. Also, 1 Cor 15 says at the LAST trumpet the dead will rise. In Revelation, the last trumpet is blown and the dead in Christ are judged and wearing white (Rev 11) and this is after a whole lot of tribulation. Now, there isnt a mention of believers departing until the Great Harvest of Rev 14. Which the Lord comes and removes them to safety before all hell breaks loose (litterally) this is after anti christ and the mark of the beast but before the Wrath of God.

Thats why I believe its post trib-pre wrath

Before. For many reasons. 1. The Bible says that the Church is not appointed to His wrath 2. because of when the marriage supper of the lamb takes place. 3. because those out of the great trib. will be invited to the marriage supper, the bride is not invited to her own wedding supper.4. because when Jesus comes back at the end of the great trib. we will be with Him. There are more reasons but it is late and I am too tired to go on . Bless you.

What does the bible say? It says it will happen in the twinkling of an eye, and the next line tells us when? AT THE 7TH TRUMP! Corinthians or 2nd Corinthians. The 7th the last, so you will see the Antichrist and have to be testes or tempted. are you ready? Will you recognize him? he will say he is Jesus, he is the first to come, don't believe the first one, it is satan himself!
