Depending on what kind of mange , yes humans can catch it! There is a type of mange called demadectic ( not sure about spelling) that is actually not contagious it just a skin allergy! I would get the dog to a vet immediately before it spreads more and get the poor thing on some antibiotics. Maybe you should reconsider making that dog live outside all the time.. and if you cant finding the pup a new home where he can be inside there are too many hazards for a dog to live outside its whole life this being one of them!! ---Professional dog trainer

First you need to know if it is mange or some other skin problem. If it is mange you need to know which type it is. Demodectic mange is not contagious but Sarcoptic is, not only to other canines but people too. The only way to know for sure is a skin scrape. Both types have specific treatments. Your vet will be able to help you and sorry there is no way to get rid of it quick. Several treatments are needed as well as another skin scraping after treatment has ended to be sure it was successful.

My puppy had mange and we are still treating for it. It's really hard to get rid of and you have to be really consistent with the treatment.
Go to your vest as soon as you can and they will give you somethings to give you dog, my dog had a drug that wasn't licensed yet and isn't allowed to be used on certain breeds of dogs so definately go to your vet they will give you the best advice.
Just do it quickly so the mange doesn't spread too much.

Mange could be any number of different pests. You need to find out what the problem is and treat for it. Incorrect treatment may do more harm than good.
Please wait for the Vet to tell you what to do. Get enough treatment for all the dogs. Don't "share" the medicine between the dogs. They won't get better.

Affected dogs need to be isolated from other dogs and their bedding, and places they have occupied must be thoroughly cleaned. Other dogs in contact with a diagnosed case should be evaluated and treated.
There are a number of parasiticidal treatments useful in treating canine scabies. Sulfurated lime rinses applied weekly or bi-weekly are effective. Selamectin is licensed for treatment by veterinary prescription in several countries; it is applied as a drip-on directly to the skin. Unlicensed, but frequently used, ivermectin, given by mouth for two to four weekly treatments; this drug is not safe to use on collie-like herding dogs, however. Other avermectin drugs are also effective, but none are licensed for use on dogs.

Take them ALL to the vet, and let them give them a bath with medicated shampoo. The vet will probably also give you some more medicine to use on them at home, and instructions on how to help them further.
