You could change your part, for example if you have a middle part, you can change it to the side. Without sacrificing overall length, you could get bangs. If you aren't sure, just try some long side bangs that can be easily tucked behind the ear.
Another way to change up hair without changing up the length is color. For a punk rock touch, try green or other colorful streaks, or dye the ends red, just try to stay away from blonde highlights. Since you have black hair, you'd end up with the skunky tacky fake highlight look.
Another thing you could do is glitter, I know Wet'N'Wild has some glitter hair gel, and Dove has a luminous spray with subtle shimmer.
Another easy thing you could do is buy a punk rock-ish headband, plaid is really popular for fall/winter season, a mod plastic white one, or a black studded one. You could take a break from headbands and buy a skull barrette or red and black bobby pins for a cute punkish look as well.
Finally, if all else fails. . .You could spike it into a mohawk. Obviously that would take an amazing amount of time, effort, and hair product.
Peace and good luck!

little tiny random braids
you just hair spray the bottoms and tease the hair around the edges and it looks so damn cool
do like 20 braids in your hair at random locations
spraypaint them different colors
then.. the next day? take them out.. you have wavy random artistic colored waves
i do this often
since I am freakin blonde i sray them black
looks bitchn everytime

Pin it up with bobbi pens or you could get tight curls. get it rolled and sit under the dryer. maybe flexi rods since it's so long. try highlights or even layers but keep your length for your longest layer. try flipping it out

straighten it, curl it, plait it, tie it up, put it in a bun
the list goes on!
you could always get a side fringe or full front fringe.. i know that's cutting it.. but not much!
