Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

in those days, the poor were very visible. They sat on the streets with hands held out. (usually by the temple, for many people went to the temple) If someone passed them by, averting their eyes, that poor person would curse that stingy guy. So, a stingy guy got cursed, whereas a poor person would bless the one who gave even the smallest ducat. The blessings of the poor were a very real thing to all people back then.

If God dwells with the poor, then perhaps He at least knows about all those curses and to whom they were directed. Same with those the poor blessed.

God should not curse anyone. Mankind is doing an awful lot to try to fix the World Hunger problem. You just don't realize how many are being fed. The religions don't want us to ask, "When did God lose the ability to produce manna?" Mankind is doing a lot, God is doing nothing. What ever happened to almighty?

No! Thank God! you may't curse God; even although that you'll be able to imagine so - we in simple terms do not have the skill. we can rant and rave, and say various of swear words adversarial to God; which isn't in many situations a sturdy idea - yet God appreciates honesty because He is conventional with what's easily on your heart. [P.S. "God" is a conventional time period - i does not do it employing His easily call.] So in simple terms repent, say you're sorry and attempt rather not difficulty-free now to not do it back. in spite of the indisputable fact that, the Blood of His Son also covers a multitude of sins yet there is one which it may't conceal - a sin that is not forgiven, and that is the cardinal sin of blasphemy, it rather is to assert or have self belief that something from God, is easily from the devil. you're far extra powerful off taking something that appears to be like evil, or satanic, as being from God and appearing for this reason. when you're incorrect, God Himself will maximum perfect it. yet when you're good; you've prevented committing this unforgivable sin! The Pharisees accused the Son of God of casting out demons with the help of the skill of devil, at the same time as it became easily the skill of God. I regularly ask your self in the experience that they realised the import of their few idle words? because the Son suggested, if he'd been accused of casting out demons with the help of Beelzebub, then so ought to those of his spouse and little ones. So his followers will seem to many to be demonic - a lot so, they are going to be forged out of the [religious] assemblies... fortuitously, or is that regrettably, Christians do not wade through from this issue.

Lack of generosity and love in a society is a curse in itself. We bring about our own destruction. Justice in society is a manifestation that we have turned to God, who is infinite Love.

When you become a Christian and follow what Jesus had taught, it is out of question. you will know what you have to do. There is no two answers for that. but "curse" is not the right word. it should be "deny".

I think if your motivation for giving is merely to avoid a curse, you are missing the point. "For God loves a cheerful giver" (II Corinthians 9:7)

The Word of God is what it is. We cannot add to it and we cannot take away from it. He also says that inasmuch as we have done it unto the least of these, we have also done it unto Him. You have answered your own question. May God Bless you and yours.

Who is we? And what says that I am not needy as well?

And that is not even what that passage is saying. I think it's saying that we all need to have sympathy for others, and it's not really saying that God will curse those who "hideth his eyes". It's really about Karma. What goes around, comes around.

Righteous acts are good and needful but we need to make sure that we have repented and that our heart is right with God first.

John 14.6:Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
