She is 28. I am 38. We are both adults with children. We have known each other for 3 months. It started slow ...... talks once a week as we watched our children play sports, then lunches 3/4 times per week and then a whole day spent together. I have feelings for her but have doubts that it is love -- too soon.

It does sound like you are thinking a bit more seriously about her than just friends. Good luck to you both with this. Do you know that you have just written down a scenario which can create a solid ground for permanent love? I do not think you have.

It's nto love. It's infatuation. Love takes time to grow. most people end up getting married during the time of infatuation and the real love doenst' ever develop. It's mandatory for that to develop. you need to ask yourself what you really like aobut that person. for me it's music. but then I ASK myself what I would do if the person lost his voice or didn't play whatever instrument. and if there's no attraction and if he's not a good person then I know it's not a good thing. now it doesn't mean that infatuation can't be a good thing. it just keeps you in long enough to get to know them. you need to spend this time getting to know who this person really is inside. right now you are exchaging information. you are right about it being too soon. you need a solid foundation before you can call it love. you can love your cat you can love cheesecake you can love your mom and yes you can love a man or woman, but it it's too early in this relationship to label it LOVE. you can call it lust if you want. that would be an accurate title, but it does not yet deserve to be called love. It takes about 2 years to truly fall in love because it takes that long to really get to know a person that well. you need to instead of focusing on the lovey dovey feelings, focus on being friends. that's who you should be datign. your friends. if you have any special feelings for female friends who are single, date them! the friendship gives a solid foundation for dating which cna lead to marriage. because after the infatuation goes, the true love will stick around. if you think about it, who do you call on a bad day? a friend! well, you are supposed to mary your best friend, so if your spouse is your best friend then you aren't supposed to marry the hotttest girl you see. you are supposed to marry the one you'll call when things are seriously tanking in your life who you know wil help you get through it. when you find that person then you are DONE with dating because that's pretty much the point of dating! God bless!

Could be love. Could be lust. It seems like something is there. Only time will tell for sure but I do believe it could be love. Perhaps it is a contemplation, your mind and heart trying to find out if you love her. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I do not know you or her. Have fun finding out. In other words...don't rush into anything.

hey jordan

You should indirectly try to find out what she thinks about the age gap. If she is smart, she will catch on as to why you asked that question. If age is not an issue to her, she will probably let you know how she feels about you.....hopefully something favorable to your ears !!!

From what you've written, it sounds like the interaction between the two of you is gonna lead to something........BIG :)

Good Luck Jordan

You're right.... it's too soon to tell. But, what's your rush, anyway? Sounds as though you'd love to be in love. As long as things are going well, why not get to know her better. If it's love, it'll last.
