A dash is just a few drops. There isn't any precise measure, but usually stuff you add a dash of, like tabasco sauce, comes in a bottle with a plugged up neck and only a small hole to let the liquid out. If you turn the bottle upside down and shake it once, you've got a dash.

Little bit of some thing, small pinch.Start with about 1/16 of a tea spoon, taste it and then see. If required add more.

like just splash a little in, if it says a vague amount like dash then it doesnt matter, to a point. id say 4 pinches is a dash

a dash, wether in cocktails or other recipies, is .312 of a teaspoon, or if you want to get technichal, a few drops. goddam it's a dash dont you know what a "dash" means? if you don't please dont mix my drinks
