ok so my mom breeds dogs and 2 or 3 so far have gotten sick and died from it. they would be fine and 2 days later they would be lifeless. we would bring them to the vet and he would give them antibiotics but he could never find out what was wrong. but more dogs in are community have gotten like this and the vet said that there was something going around. but dosent no what it is. if anyone else has had this problem please reply.

i live in north west arkansas. and the dogs are AKC Boston terriers. and its just not my moms dogs getting sick theres other peoples dogs. some signs are lifeless, the runs, they get very very skinny, and and just lie there like there about to give up.

Not knowing just what your vet did test for, it would be impossible to give possible or probable solutions or answers. Sometimes e-coli or giardia. or other protozoan diseases are missed.

Need more specific info. Too many things could be the problem. One more thing. There are too many dogs as it is. Hundreds of thousands are being killed every day in shelters across the country. Why would anyone add to the problem by breeding more? Please tell your mother to act responsibly and stop.

It would be helpful to know where you live and what sort of insects (specific species of mosquitoes, ticks, etc.) and such are in your area. Often a vet will use antibiotics because they're not sure what to do, or how to treat the illness. Do you know what antibiotics the puppies were on (Doxycyline, Baytril, Cephalexin, Clavamox, etc.)?
