Have you ever had a tiny pet that was really helpless on its own? I hate two pet parakeets and at first I literally had to work to teach one of them how to drink water. Now they really have nothing to offer me, they kinda hate me sometimes and ignore me, stare at me like I am the animal in a cage, and all I do is find myself cleaning up their poo-poo and giving them new food and water...... I think God might view us in much the same way.... And for some strange reason, he just really loves us and thinks we are worth it.

I cannot perceive the whole cockroach comparison-you could also say a rat, a turtle, a bee, etc.
Our relationship with God is more like a parents relationship to their child. Do you love the child any less because they are born ignorant? Children learn as they grow. We create them to love and nurture them. We do not have disdain for them because they are inferior to us in any way.
If God were evil, or had no love or respect for us, why bother with creation? God is not evil or good. God does not punish or reward. God just is. He is the creator and the observer. We are created and given free will, and the good and evil that happens in our daily lives are a result of our own free will actions, and the free will actions of other people. If a loved one is hit by a drunk driver, people are quick to ask "why would God do this?" God didn't. The drunk driver did. The liquor store did. The manufacturers of the alcohol did. Not God.
Organized religion is to blame for the general public's fear of God-it teaches that God is the punisher-that our sins are punishable by eternal hellfire. The hebrew bible, as it was originally written, teaches nothing of that sort. There is no such place as the "hell" that Catholicism has forced into the bible today-no place of eternal punishment. The true evil lies in the people and religions that attempt to make you fear God or think he is evil-because it's purpose is to drive you further from Him.

As finite human beings, we can by no ability completely understand a limiteless God (Romans 11:33-34). each and every from time to time we assume of we understand why God is doing something, purely to make sure later that it became for a distinct purpose than we initially idea. God seems at issues from a holy, eternal attitude. we seem at issues from a sinful, earthly, and temporal attitude. Why did God placed guy on earth understanding that Adam and Eve would sin and for this reason carry evil, demise, and suffering on all mankind? Why didn’t He purely create us all and go away us in heaven the position we will be ideal and with out suffering? those questions won't be able to be effectively responded this aspect of eternity. What we can comprehend is inspite of the actuality that God does is holy and ideal and ultimately will glorify Him. God allowed for the prospect of evil with the intention to provide us a real determination with regard to no matter if we worship Him. God did not create evil, yet He allowed it. If He had no longer allowed evil, we will be worshipping Him out of legal responsibility, no longer by a spread of our personal will.

If God is all-powerful and all-knowing and yet does not act to prevent the horrible things that happen - such as murder - then God is an uncaring monster. If, on the other hand, God cannot prevent evil from happening, then God is not all-powerful and therefore is unworthy of worship. If God cannot foresee evil, then God is not all-knowing and therefore unworthy of worship.

Which God are you referring to? Many say there are more that one. Myself, I say God lives in the imagination of those intelligent enough to understand the concept and choose to believe. That is where my belief ends, I do not accept the concept as real. So God cannot be evil, there is no God.

No, God is Love. Saten is evil, and he would love your thoughts comparing man to a roach. Yes, God is all knowing, he created the earth and the heavens and all the universes. Our intelligence might not seem significant in this life compared to God's, but when we go to Heaven, then we will have eternity to learn and increase our wisdom and yes, even become super intelligent. Please read your Bible and find out for yourself how God love you and wants you to love him also. God Bless

He chooses to love us, as His marvelous creation so much so that He sent His only begotten Son to suffer an agonizing substitutionary death in our place so that we wouldn't have to suffer an eternity in hell paying for our own sin debt.....Is that evil? or is that incredible merciful love. But this gift is only extended to us on this side of the grave....after death outside of His forgiveness, His judgment takes over. Either you accept Him as Saviour on this side, or you meet Him as judge on the other side.....YOUR CHOICE!....very sobering thought!
