6 TEASPOONS CORNFLOUR
HALF PINT MILK,
SALT&PEPPER'
1 TEASPOON PESTO SAUCE.
3 OZ GRAITED CHEESE
JUST PUT THE CORNFLOUR IN A PAN.AND ADD THE MILK A BIT AT A TIME,MAKE SURE YOU BLEND IT WELL AND GET THE LUMPS OUT. THEN ADD THE PESTO AND SALT &PEPPER, BRING THE SAUCE TO THE BOIL,ITS VERY IMPORTANT TOO KEEP STIRING THIS AS IT WILL GO LUMPY IF LEFT,ONCE IT STARTS TO THICKEN ADD CHEESE,CONTINUE TO STIR WELL. IF IT IS TO THICK JUST ADD SOME MORE MILK, THEN POUR OVER YOUR COOKED PASTA,AND PUT IN THE OVEN TO BROWN.

You use elbow macaroni for the pawns, straight large ziti for the rooks, bowtie pasta for the knights, pasta shells for the bishops, rotellini held upright by tortellini for the queens, and a very narrow stack of lasagna for the kings. The "black side" is marinara sauce, and the "white side" is alfredo.
I like to be simple and "cheat" by using a pre-made wooden chessboard, but if you're ambitious, you can construct a board from alternating squares of provelone cheese and sausage. Some like to insert raw pieces of angel hair spaghetti between the squares or around the perimeter of the board.
