it's really personal preference, i have at least one with almost every IM service out there, that's why i use Gaim, it's a free and open-source IM client that works for every one of them out there, it has almost all features of every one of them and it's just one program so you don't have to have 10 of them open at once, it's outstanding. i've had an icq account for almost 10 years now, 2 AIM accounts, 2 MSN accounts, 1 Yahoo, 1 google talk, and 1 standard Jabber, not to mention IRC servers i idle on, Gaim handles those too. but when you can use something like Gaim there's really no reason you should limit yourself to one particular service.

hi, i think of Msn and Yahoo is equivalent person. ICQ is below the two. even though it is not achieveable that it particularly is would be grown later for the reason that for person discover ICQ is extra effective than Msn and Yahoo. Cheers ~ MS

I'd probably have to say MSN messenger, although more & more people have been going to Yahoo messenger or Windows messenger.
