i know how you feel! this happened with me when i made the mistake of telling my mom about the last boy i liked n geez i'd never seen news travel so fast! she even shared the news randomly while on a phone conversation with some relatives in another country. i know she didnt mean any harm by it n it wasnt really anything new but it was crazy. just dont tell her. but if you want to or that your parents somehow find out on their own..cause they have some pretty CIA-like ways of doing that...just limit what you tell them and by this just tell them only the things you want them to know about her or the relationship. need to know basis until youre ready to bring her home or when you feel its right.
they prob dont even realize what theyre doing either or how it affects you but the reason for why they do this is because parents are always excited when their child lets them in on a little part of their life..n you liking some girl..she may think thats big..n it makes her feel as close to you as one of your friends lol sounds cheesy but its true, least from my perspective :)

don't tell her if you just like the girl ,but if you guys get in a more serious relationship you probably could just explain to her that if she tells everyone that she'll never know your relationship status ever again lol then she'll keep quiet! hope this helps

You tell your mom only when the gal accepts ur love and u r serious abt her want to make your love public. i would tell my family only when i would be thinking of marrying her.
