Okay, so, I used to use Garnier Fructis when I had waist-length hair, and I loved the feel, and it felt well conditioned. I thought, "Hey, too bad the bottles are tiny" I never bought another one since then, because I got it cut and was really hung up on 2-in-1's because they're much quicker to use.

But I was washing my hair today, and I found a Garnier Fructis leave-in condtioner my Mother used, so I decided to use it, hoping I woul get the same reults I did when it was long. But now that I've used it, it feels so dry. But only in some parts of my hair. Like, what? It used to do wonders for my hair, now it drys it out and makes it look, and feel like straw. I don't get it...

I think I flat ironed my long har twice in it's 10 years of having it long. After streightening it, it started falling out, so I panicked and sold my streightener to a friend. I don't agree with burning anything into your hair. I just let it do it's natual thing.

About the change of formulas, maybe they have. I don't know.

My Mum has the same kind of hair as me right now. it's summer, so the heat has dried it out big time. I thought I'd use it to combat the extra heat. But it made it worse. The bottle said it's for dry damaged hair and makes hair stronger. I have horrible split ends and my hair's dry, so it shouldn't have effected my hair...

There are a whole bunch of different Fructis products for different hair types. Maybe your mom's leave-in wasn't for your hair type?

I have also found that certain products don't work for me all the time and I have to switch between them - maybe your hair chemistry just no longer agrees from the chemicals in the product.

Hi,
Okay you left out some parts! When you had wait lenght hair, was it , permed, colored etc? How long ago di you use Garnier, they do change formulas? Was your moms Garnier Conditioner for Dry Hair? If not you should use that formula!

You have to make sure the formula you used was the formula you need. I find that volumizing and body-adding formulas make my hair feel dry. If you used something that just adds moisture (like for color-treated/permed/damaged hair) then you might have product buildup in your hair or hard water

I switched to Sunsilk. I used to use Garnier Fructis but it started making my hair dry like yours!

the Garnier Fructis leave-in conditioner I used was also a styling product... you were only supposed to use about a dime-sized amount.... if you use too much, it will leave your hair feeling dry

i think with shorter hair, garnier dries it out. it did the same with mine wen i wanted to use my sisters once. even in the commercials, girls with rely long hair are running around. for shorter hair, i'd recommend pantene. they have a 2-in-1 that i use for fuller hair, and it give a rely soft, shiny feel. try it!
