The Loreal company makes Loreal Preference etc. and Garnier Nutrisse hair colorings and all are great products ( I have used different ones for different shades). You may want to consider a trim after you color to soften the hair tips and encourage new growth.

Almost all of them are the same. Although that Faria or whatever has a lot of pigment in their color. U might want to try that if you are coloring over blonde. Color has a tendency to fade faster when colored over blonde and watch out for the base color. If you have a certain skin tone and eye color you will want to stay with the cool shades ...ash,cool. If you have different coloring then you will want to have a golden, warm shade. See why you should go to a professional? Unless you know already what base you should have then I would not risk it. Once you color it and mess it up, then have to go to a professional it is then called a hair color correction and will cost you more. The chances of the base color you are going to put on over the blonde will be the base that it fades to more than the second color you put on.
I hope I helped and didn't confuse you any. It's just that it is your appearance that you might mess up and I wouldn't want that to happen. I have had to do many corrections and it just isn't worth it. For the safe way, it's worth it. Wait a little longer to get the cuts and save that way.

I'm a cosmotologist although i cheat sometimes, i like clairols natural instincts...it gradually fades so no visible roots. If you have natural auburn in your hair or if you naturally pick up red tones and want to avoid them be sure to avoid anything that says warm or golden, these will pull the red, gold or brassy tones from your hair, if you don't want these look for more cool, ash, or neutral colors, these always work for me....hope this helps! Good luck....Hey i couldn't respond to that ur email wouldn't go thru im?

I always use Garnier 100% color.
It doesn't damage your hair as much as the other brands.
I would get light brown hair dye because with blond hair it will turn out being darker than it shows on the box.

in the beginning, demise your hair won't substitute how human beings view you.. and you're treating this step as though that's a existence changing, won't be able to alter it decision. it is not. it is basically hair. you could constantly dye it returned. Hair colour could be a sort of expression and artwork. So use your hair as your very own very own pallet. After demise your hair you ought to use a shampoo and conditioner this is designed for colour taken care of hair. a sturdy shampoo and conditioner will help rebuild the proteins lost on your hair by coloring. i might advise splurging and getting a salon sort, as those artwork the terrific. %. a colour which you think of will terrific characterize you. no longer what colour you think of each and every physique else will like. it is not substantial what all of us else thinks. in case you extremely like something then you certainly will placed on it is going to self belief, and that self belief will convince eveyone which you look beautiful no count number what!

even for some pros, what you want takes time and knowing what needs to be used as a filler. If that step is missed, the hair becomes green among other fun colors. For something this big, go to a salon, if it's money-go to a cheaper one. Christmas is too close to play with your hair and have to pay more to make a pretty color. Blonde=porous=grab and go too dark also.
Good luck...

Just to be sure why not try a wash in wash out shampoo - I used Wella copper colour and it looks okay. When you get the colour you want buy a semi permanent kit - much cheaper than salon prices. Good luck and happy hair day.

I did this same thing last July. Looking for something close to my own color that I hadn't seen in forever. I used Garnier. Good cover, better than anything I had ever bought. It made my hair really healthly.
good luck :)

Please Please Please go to a salon, going from blonde to brown requires pre-pigmenting (putting warm tones back into the hair) or you WILL go a nasty khaki green colour, no doubt about it. Once the colour is dark maybe you can try a chemist colour but I still wouldn't encourage that as matching colours and getting coverage can be very difficult.

changing from blonde to brunette is big. it mite b rely expensive but if i were you, i wouldnt take the risk of doing it yourself with those cheap ones. you never know how its gonna look using those. my moms been dying her hair with the boxes for over 20 years and wenever i wanna try, she says "no, the color on the box isnt the end result, take off three shades and this color mite make it look reddish" and all of this confusing stuff! you'll end up going to the salon anyways if it turns out bad! u mite wanna think twice...
