Because gang bangers are uneducated and can't fathom that a Franchi SPAS12 Combat Shotgun has significantly more stopping power for blasting old ladies, little children in 7-11, and rival gang members. And the fact that they can't really spell it and it doesn't rhyme with too many things. Although it would require the sale of alot of dime bags to afford one of those puppies.

Most are idiots that think that they can spray a bunch of bullets at their enemy. Since most of them could not hit the broad side of a barn at 20 paces, they need to spray, sadly often leaving their target alive and an innocent child dead.
Bangers are punks and without their homeys around will 99% fold up like the biotch they are in the interrogation room. I love sending them to prison with the hope they are raped a lot.

Easy conversion from semi to full auto. In contrast, the Tek-9 was designed as a semi-auto from the get-go and is difficult/impossible to convert.
