Sweetie, please follow the advice of the counselors and your parents. They only want what is best for you. Your best friend was right in telling the counselors at school, because she could see that you are slowly killing yourself.
You are bulimic because you have some kind of emotional or self esteem problem.
They certainly are not going to do anything to make it worse. They truly want to help you get better.
Trust your family, friends and counselors and get the help you need, you'll be glad you did.

The vast majority of those with mental illness are stupid. (I'd say schizos are pretty smart)
So let me dumb it down for you.
You don't need counselors to tell you are an idiot.
You need me to tell you you are an idiot.
I am a former anorexic and you can't shut yourself from the world. You need allies. I didn't get help from counseling, but I got it from my team. And bulimia is only slightly worse.
First of all, it pretty much will slowly kill you due to lack of nutrient intake. It will erode away your esophagus. It will weaken your heart.
Did I mention it will eventually kill you?
Your best friend should be your hero. They school is trying to get all involved because they really want to punch you in the face and help you at the same time, and you are a liability to the school and your parents. Imagine how horrified your parents were. Thinking it was there fault.
Christ almighty, what do you think would help you?
I know A) going to Africa and seeing people starve.
or B) going to see bulimics and anorexics and a mental health center.
Feel free to give me negative pts. but I've been there.
Since you are not depressed, would me calling you weak hurt, since you are to weak to get help? You are not strong enough on your own. Hell, your bulimic.

They have the right idea, but you are clearly not comfortable with them. Try to strike a deal with them. Arrange to see a psychologist you trust on regular basis and use the counselors them to check in or as a backup. That should keep you out of a recovery center and make them happy at the same time. Recovering from this is in YOUR best intrest, but in any setting - whether with the counslors or a center- you need to WANT to make this change or it just won't work. So find someone you are comfortable talking to and taking advise from and work with them.

Trust me, they are only trying to help.
I've had a friend who went through being bulimic - and she is doing amazing now. I forget how everyone found out, but she ended up in the hospital and in a rehab center.... she doesn't regret any of it because she was getting really sick.
I've had another friend who was an alcoholic....when he was a junior in high school. I found this out, and being his best friend, decided to tell my counselor. She told his mother (with my permission) and he found help, and is straightened out now.
So, trust me....they are only trying to help and even though you might be scared, listen to what they say, because they are only trying to help!!

Hey, I'm just going to blab for a sec. :P
My Stepmom went through the same crap but she was more anarexic than anything. I have no idea what you are going through or why you are going through this, but all i know that it's dangerous. I'm sure they want to help, just tell them to back off a little and just kinda guide you through everything. Maybe it'll be good in the end. Just let them know that you feel like you're being crowded.

At this point, what you think doesn't matter anymore. Your way isn't working. Surrender and get help.
