I just started dating this really nice guy, but I get pretty uncomfortable with him because he's almost a foot shorter than me! I like him ALOT... but usually more when we're sitting down or I'm not looking at him... I know it's shallow, but what should I do about it?

Yes, it's shallow and immature. Boys have a different growth pattern than girls. My son was 5'5" until he was 18. Then he shot up to 6'2". All the girls who had ignored him were suddenly very interested.
Judge a guy by what's on the inside not his outsides.

You're right - it's shallow. Unless you get over your superficial way of thinking towards him you are better off leaving the poor guy alone.
The magic words here are "really nice guy" - they're not that easy to find, you know

sweetie i am 5'10", EVERY man I loved was shorter than me. It's not a problem unless you make it a problem. A really nice guy is terribly hard to find. You wouldn't want to trade him for a 6'0" tall jerk would you?

A foot is a lot. Women like to be shorter than their men. I couldn't date a taller woman, no matter what, so I understand your dilemna. Best to cut your losses now- you will never feel better about it, sorry.
