Toothpaste gets rid of the redness (same as it does for pimples/popped whiteheads). Drench a washcloth in hot water (as hot as u can stand) and gently rub that hickied area with it. All a hickie is is a bloodclot. The heat loosens the vessels and allows the blood to flow thru freely. Trust me, it works. I've had to use it several time before going to choir rehearsals. :-)

Get a plastic brush with soft circular bristles on the end and "brush" out the spot.

It may take awhile, and if you see it's getting irritated, put a little cold cream and keep going until the whole area is red. Give the area about 20-30 minutes rest to let the irritation go away, and wala! If you have to do it some more, repeat. Trust me, it's the best thing.

I've had a few in my days, until the Dr. saw it and told me that when that happens the blood is sucked to the surface and will stay visible a few days. He also told me that could cause some type of cancer, that scared me, no more hickies after that. I don't really see the thrill in getting them anyway. Its like spit on my neck.

Try to avoid them..if your bf is good at kissing he wont leave any marks behind..but anyway turtleneck shirts, concealer, and band aids....but a hickey is only a bruise the only thing to make it fade away is time.

Wet it, put tooth paste on it and then put a frozen spoon against it-it lightens it a little. The best is putting a steak on it though-that is what helps heals black eyes.

My buddy said to comb it with a fine tooth comb, and then ice it. Not sure if it works but might as well give it a shot.

Nothing, but I use to use under eye concealer it helps. Or you can always but a bandade on it and blame it on your dog
