The person qualified to tell you that is your pharmacist. When you ask him/her, be sure to tell him/her about ALL the drugs you're taking, including over-the-counter ones and any herbals (those can interact unfavorably with prescribed drugs, too).

I don't know what atenelol is, but I know a little about melatonin. I haven't heard of anything it is not compatible with, your body naturally makes melatonin, taking supplements can be very helpful for regulating your sleep. Both my son and I have taken it, directed by a couple of different doctors over the years, in combination with other medications (antidepressants, anti-anxiety/benzos, antipsychotics, ADHD meds).

Geez . . . But no, don't take anything else with Effexor until you ask your doctor. Sorry I can't be more help, but at least I didn't yell at you.

Probably not, talk to your doctor.

Why do you expect us to answer this question for you?

Quit playing stupid, trying to get answers that you know your doctor has to answer.
