I started eating a bunch of whole grains a couple of weeks ago, which is supposed to give me more energy. So far I think it works. But, I've noticed I can't break the coffee habit. If I don't have coffee, I lie around the house like a slob. If I drink coffee, then I can study pretty well. But, everyone says how coffee is bad for me. So, what am I supposed to do instead? Pls don't tell me to exercise or I'll hurl. I exercise enough already.

It's called being addicted to caffine. Without it, your body is all imbalanced and thinks it doesent have the energy to do what you need to. Wean yourself off slowly but surely.

Maybe you need to have enough sleep - like 8-10 hours a day, so that you do not need the caffeine in the coffee to help you keep awake. Maybe you can try replacing your coffee with tea. Or for me, i drink 1 bottle of Brands' Chicken Essence every morning. It helps quite a lot in my daily activities in the sense that i am more vigilant and awake.

Coffee is a stimulant and so thats why it helps you study, since it keeps you awake. They found in studies that some coffee is good for you. Do what works for you. Maybe talk to your Dr. and see what he/she says.

It's okay, just keep drinking it if it helps you study, people yell at me because I drink a pepsi first thing in the morning.

i'm the same i'll drink coffee @ 10 pm so that i can stay up and sudy otherwise i'll feel 2 lazy and end up watching tv. i wanna try that whole "5 hour energy drink" thing but i dunno if it works and i think they're kinda expensive.
