How do I know if a guy who is really shy likes me?

There's this really cute guy at my school who I know is very shy. I used to have an elective with him but he resceduled to another one. Sometimes he does stares and he turns his head when i turn to him(once i caught him smiling). I'm really not sure if he likes me though.

if he is shy you will hav to make the first move so just ask him and if he says no you wont hav to worry about having a class with any more
