errmm.. I have quite a few cuts on my leg... over 100 located in the same general area above my knee.. anyway... I think a few of them might be infected...

the skin that doesn't have cuts on it.. it looks purple and/or pale..... and acouple wounds only have a clear substance coming out of them.. not blood like the rest...

they are so painful... even more so than usual.. it hurts just to be sitting here...

are they infected? if so.... how do I treat them?

yes they are infected and you HAVE to tell your parents or go to see a dr ( if you report to an emergency room-they are not allowed to contact your parents if you are over the age of 16). this infection could spread into your bloodstream and cause your whole body to become infected which could result in you needing hospitalization and possibly loss of your leg if left untreated.

you can wash them out with warm water and mild soap (dove or ivory) and then apply neosporin to them. wrap your leg with gauze wrap after applying the neosporin.

i cannot stress to you enough the extreme importance of seeking medical attention for this-infections do not go away on their own or without proper medication-which you can only get from a dr. your immune system is now comprimised which means, you are more likely to get even more sick b/c your body is already trying to fight the infection you have-PLEASE tell your parents (no matter what the cause of the cuts are) or see a dr

go see a doctor
he or she can decide whether it's infected or not and what to do next
you shouldn't wait longer because you don't want the infection to go into your knee joint , muscle or spread else where
possibilities are endless and treating it sooner is right way to go
be more careful when it comes to your body , avoid what caused your injury and be perfectly honest with your physician to get the proper help if it's self inflicted or if you can't prevent getting hurt for some reason

If puss is coming out of them they are infected...Might want to see a doctor...Are you cutting yourself? If so then you need some help because that is not normal behavior. There are others ways to deal with your anger or deppression..please seek help.

I'm concerned over the amount of cuts on your leg. I would wash up really good and get yourself to the nearest hospital as soon as you can...Please do something...I care about your well being.

You dont even comprehend in the adventure that your pal has an STD purely because someone touches you doesnt advise you'll seize something. STD stands for Sexually Transmitted disease. in case you didnt have sex with him then you dont have an STD

Yes go see a doctor.

Until then. Wash with warm soapy water and cover with a sterile gauze if your clothes are touching them.

What the hell happened? You should have seen a doctor already. This sounds scary to me- you should even maybe go to the emergency room.
