Mr. Mudcat, blind anything doesn't sound good especially faith.

So far all I've read here are the very definitions of blindness: Your holy book is so tightly held to you that you can't see anything else, any other possibilities. Your faith, in fact, actively condemns any questioning of the tokens of faith as misguided or even evil. Any effort to find any answers anywhere else than the Bible are met with charges of Satanism. Faith so blinding that anything outside the faith must be seen as an illusion or demons incarnate.

Faith, by its very nature, means you BELIEVE in something you can't necessarily see or feel, so "blind faith" is an unnecessary term. But yes, faith is a requirement of Christianity.
Would days and nights be days and nights at all without BLIND faith that the sun will come up again tomorrow?

Without blind faith what would ANY religion be? That is entirely what religion is.

after all everyone is backed up with faith whether it is religion or atheism... nobody knows anything for sure. That there is a difference for a person in placing his or her faith in absolute truth without perfect understanding and knowledge. That is what Christianity is about. It is also power to trust the human heart when it is touched by the hand of God

When the Lord Jesus was here on Earth, it was He Who gave SIGHT to the blind.
When He returns and sets up His Davidic Kingdom, He will again give SIGHT to the blind ... and EVERY EYE shall see Him!!
Christianity is not a religion; it is the true Faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (believers).

Sure. Christianity began because of what people witnessed. Most Christians have faith in the unseen b/c of what they have witnessed in their own lives. Blind faith is just unthinking. Most non-Christians assume Christians are non-thinking, but that isn't the case at all. People who accuse Christians of having BLIND faith, are people who are blind themselves.

I'm not sure what you mean by "blind faith" there is more evidence for Jesus Christ (his life, death, and resurrection) than there is that Alexander the Great, Juliuis Ceasar, and Plato even existed.

>shouldn't faith count number upon their worshiper knowlege and their intelligence to discover the elementary fact of life.< specific, why not... "faith is guy invented so guy could desire to be the controling tension...good? besides the undeniable fact that... the actual Christian faith isn't a guy invented "faith. faith not in step with fact is fantacy.... For those of the actual Christian faith God is the fact. The "faith" of the actual Christian relies upon the persons own wisdom of God and what God has finished for them and given them. the reality of God is commonly used to each guy or woman personaly. it extremely is this own wisdom of the reality that helps each between the religion to have self belief that what God says would be, would be. the fact of God is the backside upon which our "faith" rests. And it extremely is a company commencing up. using fact we as persons understand God... our faith isn't based upon what somebody else says approximately God... or what's written in some e book.

Christianity is rooted in history. Discussions of "blind" faith are a more recent phenomenon.
