I will be going for knee replacemant and wear 24/7 for urge incont. Last time I was cathed and it created problems so I will be wearing the prescribed diapers via VA Hospital. I know that the nurses will change me but I am not #2 incont. Will they allow me to use the toilet for that?

Depending on how you are getting around, you will probably use a bedside commode (aka. potty chair) or a bedpan. YOu might not feel like going all of the way to the toilet the first few days. But , they shouldn't make you use a diaper for that, that wouldn't be right and I would complain if they did.

They may do that, or let you use a bed pan. Just ask them what to do. Good luck to you.
