I am getting a day bed in my spare bedroom, but need an easy and quick way to join the bed and trundle when I have couples visit. I have seen a product that is designed for this purpose, but it seems overpriced. Does anyone have tips on doing this easily and on my own?

Also, when twins are put together, what size sheets will fit? King or California King?

I always just turn the mattresses so they run lengthwise. The reg King sized contour sheet holds them together. I have had couples sleep on it with no complaints. You may have already done that but hope it helps.

I've heard of King size sheets designed to convert two twin beds into a king. These sheets have a foam channel in the middle to fill in the gap between the two beds. Check out a linens store or website to see if you can find one.
