I can understand if the man is rich because after all he has alot to offer and can buy attention and the much younger woman is with him for his money and he is with her because she is younger, but these plain ordinary joes want someone younger too. One guy who is 62 wants a woman 18-30, come on be realistic, what young woman is going to want you? I am 41 and it seems like all the men my age want a woman under 40. They already have children and don't want more but they still don't want someone their age. A 20 year old year woman has no more in common with a 45 year old man than I have with a 66 year old man. It's ridiculous. One might say love knows know age, then how about opening their search to include women 25 years older than them?

This pisses me off a lot....I'm in my 40's and dating again and noticed that men my age want young women. Don't they realize that they're making fools of themselves because they're old lol...sigh. I wish I had an answer for you.

I can only speak for the late 40's and 50's. Women were definitely more modest .... in clothing, attitude and behavior. Today's swimsuits would have been too skimpy even for underwear. Men ... the proper dating attire for dinner and a movie was a suit, tie and well polished shoes. He always came to the door to get you, held your coat for you and then opened the car door. However, then as now, if a woman acts like a wh.... she will be treated like a wh.... If she acts like a lady, she will be treated as a lady. Some things never change.

As a woman is my twenties, I am likewise dumbfounded. I have actually thought the woman who are the peers of these guys are thinking - What the f ? Apparently so!
Anywhooo I've had guys in that age bracket try for me, and they don't seem open to anything but younger women. Strange.
I think its because younger women are about recapturing youth, They feel younger. Younger women are more likely to be malleable, and looking for guidance. Where older women are more likely to not take any bull -" this is who am I am take or leave it"
On the bright side for you, I've had alot of guy friends tell me they like older woman for that exact reason - they know who they are, what they want, and where they are going.
Apparently guys in my generation have the balls to like these qualities.
Balls that men in your generation are sadly lacking

Men don't see themselves as they are when they look in the mirror, they see the stud they thought they were in high school. They think they are the contemporary of that chick 20 years younger even if they are wearing a toupee and using Viagra. They do not see women their own age, a woman their own age would only remind them that they are also that age. They prefer to live in la-la land.

I agree with you, these guys aren't being realistic; but I think a lot of women do the same thing, and look for younger men. Hang in there! 41 ain't old.

Perhaps it is your negative attitude. Men like women with a fun, confident attitude. Fun is the key! You also need to stay positive not negative, who wants to date a negative attitude person, man or women. Read Cosmo (it gives you a young sexy attitude), work out, take care of your looks as in get a makeover to look new and fresh in style not like you did when you in 1980's. I date younger men and older men and I am much older then you. With anyone it is about attitude.

i would have agreed with you --- i am 53 and was looking for ladies around my age --- any family they had grown up and left home --- we have a history ie we grew up in the same era --- yet i met a lady (online i must add) younger than my youngest daughter and it was all over
it is not about money it is about caring and a connection between us --- i know it will be difficult for other people to accept but she does care for me (dare i say love at first sight) for both of us
so i would have been happy with an older lady but it did not work out like that

mid-life crisis? Having someone younger makes them feel younger and more alive. At their age they may not be looking for a serious relationship so the younger, the better.
