There is not much milk actually left in my breasts.. She usually just nurses for comfort. The problem is not that she gets any nutrition from it its that its a habit.. How do you break the habit..

Your not going to convince her to stop. You need to break the cycle. Try to avoid all of the regular triggers. Keep a sip cup of juice by your bed if she comes in to you in the morning looking to nurse. Try to keep your breasts covered at all times. When I weaned my oldest, I didn't take a shower during the day so that she wouldn't see me nude ! She also liked to nurse right after I showered. The hardest one to stop is the nursing to sleep. Try to get someone else to put your child to sleep. Daddy would be perfect. As to make it easier for her, I made sure that my kids always had easy access to water and milkshakes.

Good luck !

There is no easy way, just say it is all gone. Put a few sports bras on to help w/ ingorgment & pump to help dry out & plan for a few busy days (activities to distract) also maybe hubby or a grandma could help by putting her down for the night & naps when shw or other situations when she nurses. Cold turkey works!

cold turkey..just say no and stick to your guns. When I weened my last one at 14 months we had a few very rough days but I was in the same boat. I just wasn't producing enough milk to do her any good.
