Everytime bacon is cooking I wake up. Even if I'm not hungry. I will wake up. Sometimes it is a good smell and sometimes it is nauseating.

Because most bacon is smoked,then when it is cooked it gives off that smoked aroma,your subconcious says"fire!wake up" so you wake up and smell the woody smoked aroma ,and also swine is divine.

I think bacon is usually serve as breakfast in your home, so your body already conditioned and recognize the smell as an alarm for you to wake up.

Hello. I am dr. grimes. It is because bacon makes you think of morning...breakfast.....so the body responds by waking up..Like how if you put meat under a cats noise while they are sleeping....they wake up!

because you like bacon and enjoy eating it maybe (only if it's true) and thats probably why even if it's a bad smell your brain is saying WAKE UP WAKE UP! it's deliciouso LOL

Because you associate the bacon with morning and waking up, so if you smell it your brain thinks that it is morning and time to wake up.
