im not able to swallow pills easily, would taking them rectally produce the same affect? has anyone every tried this with vicodin or any other pills?

Most pills today have a coating on them to help them slip down your throat so administrating the same meds rectally won't work because that coating will inhibit the absorption. Try crushing the meds and mixing it with ice cream or a pudding. Also, I think Vicodin can be administrated intramuscular but your MD would probably need to write a special script for that and you would need a script for needles. Not a very popular method these days with drug controls and all.

By the way, the indigenous South Americans and Egyptians were very fond of rectal administration of meds.

I really don't recomment taking vicodin rectally. Try crushing the pills into a powder, that would make them much easier to swallow.

Try powerdering them disolving them and chugging then down followed by more water. Many seniors have the same problem (as do small kids) this is one possibble solution drugstores sell gadgets for grinding the pills. They also work much faster this way

yes there are some of those at the pharmacy, but they should be made to be taken rectally...Your pharmacist knows ask em.
