OMG a catholic able to think for themselves , the world has ended , the sky is falling ...Lol ,

But seriosly I am in the utmost agreement with you the fundamentalist nature of many practicing christrians and also Muslim would be enough to make people never pick up a bible it a shame because if most of those fundamentalists actually piucked one up and read it they would realise how wrongly they are portraying their own beliefs and the great disservice they do to God in the process

It wouldn't matter to me how the fundies act. I care about what is true. I actually have something in common with the fundies in that I take religion seriously. If I thought there was even the remotest chances that Bible god was real then I would be a fundie. The Bible is the only source we have for info on Bible god..to just pick and choose what parts of the Bible you are to follow is intellectually dishonest.

Also, you can't blame the fundies for how they act..they genuinely believe that the Bible is true and the craziness you see from them is just them following the teachings of the ignorant, sexist, slavery endorsing, barbaric cavemen who wrote that evil book.

As far as I know, even liberal Catholics believe in God. If you agree more with atheists then I think you would be hard pressed to call yourself Christian. You don't hear Christians calling other Christians "bible thumpers". Whether or not people "stay away" is up to them. If I was an atheist, people like you, who profess to be a Christian- but agree more with atheists, would make me stay away. FYI, if you are going to become an atheist- you should learn how to spell it.

I feel the same way in here.

On paper, I am a theist, not atheist.

However, I generally find [usually!] atheists tend to make stronger arguments than Christians do. I respect the Christians who just acknowledge that their belief is faith. I find the Christians who try and discuss science often use logic with more holes than Swiss cheese. They often don't understand even the basic premises of what they are trying to debunk, and it shows.

They're staying away? You need to get your facts straight, my dear. Conservative Christianity is thriving, while liberal "Christianity" is dying!

Almost without exception the mega churches of America (2,000 plus in attendance) are conservative. Some conservative churches have weekly attendances above 20,000, and are growing.

Don't liberal Catholics believe the Bible? Surely you jest claiming to be a Catholic of any sort. You can only be a nominal one...in other words a hypocrite, pretending to be what you are not.

OH GREAT, The fundi's are Thump in us all to Revelations, and they are going to feel like real losers when it's said and done..They'll die just like we do...By their sword.....God will not come as it is said to happen.. Nobody has seen God, Jesus, ever since the disciples supposedly saw him raise 50 days after he arose. Think that's weird... I do...

we don't want them to join any religion, we want them to know there creator and to have a relationship with him by his spirit, we call that being born again, are you?? if you agree with the world you have a Antichrist spirit not the holy spirit that is at war with the spirit of the world! You do not know which spirit ye are of????Find out this is essential to your salvation, to simple say you are a liberal catholic will not get you into heaven. Its the name of Jesus that's save.!You must receive his spirit like Jesus told Nicodemus in John. Go read John. and acts 2 the holy spirit!
