Dacia was NOT Dutch. Dacia had two main components to its ethnic makeup--Roman settlers and Gothic (East Germanic) settlers. Both of these ethnic components used Latin as their language and this dialect of Latin evolved into the modern Romanian language. Before the Romans took over, Dacia was inhabited by Celtic tribes. These were virtually annihilated by the incoming Romans and Goths.
