If a guy tells you to lose weight, whether or not it is okay depends on the context and who the guy is who said it. If he called you fat, he is just mean. It is never okay for anyone (male or female) to be mean to another individual. If this is a guy you are dating or who you like, you should either lose the jerk or have a talk with him and tell him that you are not okay with him putting you down. More than likely, he is calling you names because he is either not interested or feels more powerful by demeaning others. Either way, have a talk with the person and if they don't agree to stop being negative, then stop associating with him. Remember, you are worth just as much as any other person on this earth and deserve the same amount of respect.

no its not ok. but my bf told me once that i need to push back from the table i took that as im getting fat. well i did slow it up and it was ok but i never forgot what he said. if he cant except me for how i change in life than he know what he can do. and if that is true than he doesnt love me. looks are not important its whats inside that counts. now if i was getting fat to the point that it was a health hazzard than he could be right but a few extra pounds around is ok. everyone cant be a cat walk model. good luck

When a guy doesn't care about your weight, you got to be very worry...He tell you to do it as he still loves you and want you to look good. This is part of the problem in a relationship that we have to except be it male or female...

No never right to hurt your feelings and come out and be so blunt but yes its okay for him to maybe remind you . you put ona bit after all you want to look good for him and yourself. just ask him to tell you in a nicer way. rather than saying your fat lose weight.

depends on how he had said it. maybe he really cares for you and it is a general concern. weight can be a health concern. maybe he has seen you happier because you may have been more confident before.

but if this guy is rude and shallow.. seriously hit this jerk in the head. because in that cause he has no right to belittle you and make you feel like crap. good luck woman. and if you feel good about you... then dont worry about it. :)

if someone is happy at the weight they are at, then no one has the right to tell anyone to lose weight.
that would be like being skinny and someone telling you to get fat. what if the person is happy being skinny? thats my point.
so if you are happy at the weight that you are at, dont let someone tell you to lose weight. be what you want and dont give a rats a** what anyone thinks or says!!!

You know what if I had someone tell me that I was fat i would tell him to take a long walk off a short pier. You can do better than that.Tell him that he isn't good enough!

It might turn out to be the the nicest thing to tell you instead of the things that both of you are missing out because of you weight. think about it

yes. Dont get offended, because you know damn straight that its true. If you're worried, tell the guy you're working on it by going for walks or whatever, but if your not doing anything, then yes, you deserve the criticism!

No.
Its better to get a trusted MD to see if your weight effects your health.
If it doesn't there are people who like how your body is shaped.
