weather i get f1 visa for us without toefl in I-20 it is mentioned that the person will take special english course at there university is there any person like me and got the visa and tell which embassy u have gone (chenai, mumbai,etc)please reply me its urgent........

I'm sorry, I wish that I could help you more. I am a US citizen living in another country. I have applied for and received visas for other countries that I have lived and taught in. The best thing that I can suggest for you is to look at this website (if you haven't already) and then contact (preferably by telephone--if possible) the US Embassy in your country. I do not have TOEFL certification either, but I was still able to get teaching visas. I really do wish you the best of luck. If there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know.

If your course of study on the I-20 form specifies that you will start with English language courses, then the TOEFL score is not a make-or-break issue. However, with English taught and used so widely in India, questions will arise about how serious a student you are if you have not prepared yourself with sufficient English to start directly on your substantive classes.
